Author Appearance – William Handwerker: Thursday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. in the assembly room of Village Hall. William is the grandson of Nathan Handwerker, founder of America’s favorite frankfurter company and the iconic Coney Island institution. He will discuss his book “Nathan’s Famous: The First 100 Years.” Sign up at the circulation desk.

Author Appearance – Katie McKenna: Thursday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. in the assembly room of Village Hall. Katie will discuss her memoir, “How to Get Run Over by a Truck,” her story of being hit by a semi and her long road to recovery. Copies are available for purchase at the reference desk.
