Town officials celebrate rededication of Horse Tamer Statue

Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth, Council Member Peter Zuckerman along with Town Clerk Wayne Wink and Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman attended a rededication ceremony for the Horse Tamer statue at Roslyn High School on Oct. 10. The restoration effort began in 2012 and over $150,000 was raised to help restore the statue. The Horse Tamer is part of a pair of sculptures. The sister statue was returned to North Hempstead’s Gerry Pond Park in Roslyn in 2013.
