The final North Hempstead concert of the season will be the New Vintage Swing Band on Monday, Aug. 12.
This 13-piece orchestra reproduces 1930s and ‘40s sounds using original arrangements from Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, and Harry James.
With special arrangements written by Brian Lewis, the band belts out the sounds of popular dance chart-toppers. The concert is at 7:30 p.m. at Mary Jane Davies Green located on Plandome Road.
