A woman was assaulted and robbed by an unidentified man in Great Neck late last Thursday night.
Nassau County Police 3rd squad detectives investigating the incident said the woman, 44, was walking in the vicinity of Wood Road and Arrandale Avenue on Sept. 6 at 10:30 p.m. when she was grabbed from behind and thrown to the ground. Her assailant grabbed the woman’s backpack containing an unknown amount of cash and fled on foot westbound on Polo Road. The woman was uninjured.
The assailant is described as a male Hispanic, 30 years of age, thin build, wearing a short sleeve black tee shirt, blue jeans, and a baseball cap.
