Rep. Tom Suozzi will be hosting a “Defense and Aerospace Industry Supply Conference” on Monday, Dec. 4t at the Tilles Center on the campus of Long Island University Post at 720 Northern Blvd. in Brookville.
The conference will run from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
The event will bring international prime contractors from the aerospace and defense industry together with the local cluster of defense and aerospace defense contractors and suppliers that exist on Long Island.
It will feature speakers from the Department of Defense and leading aerospace companies, including Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Eric Chewning, Patricia McMahon (Northrop Grumman) and Dave Logan (BAE).
They’ll talk about how the local industry can remain competitive and grow, and possibly introduce the attendees to new business opportunities that could be beneficial for Long Island.
