Readers Write: Which one is it Ted?

The Island Now
I had a problem with the article titled, “Plaza parking not a problem: Rosen” published in your Feb. 28, 2020 edition of the Great Neck News. In the article, it is stated that Ted Rosen, running for Mayor Jean’s position in the upcoming mayoral race in VGNP, noted there is unrestricted parking in village garages after 3 p.m. REALLY? According to the signs in the Maple Drive garage, parking permits are required Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., and two-hour metered parking is from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Either these signs are wrong and Ted Rosen is correct or these signs are right and Rosen has no idea what he’s talking about!
Which one is it, Ted? I’m betting on Rosen being incorrect because there is a huge parking problem in the village, especially permit parking on our streets, where getting a parking spot is starting to rival Park Slope, Brooklyn.
True, there is plenty of permit parking on the top level of the Maple Drive garage since businesses have fled the area in droves over the last few years, due to the incompetence of Mayor Jean and Ted Rosen, but these permits cost $90 per quarter. It wouldn’t be necessary to buy one if street parking was easily available.
I’d vote for anyone but Ted Rosen for mayor!
