Plant a Row for the Hungry invites the public to a vegetable garden education event to be held Saturday, Feb. 15 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Port Washington Public Library,
The meeting will feature a presentation on how to prepare for a successful vegetable garden from Reese Michaels, the master gardener of the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau County. Michaels will also go through the dos, don’ts and whys of composting.
