Paramount ranked among top clubs

The Island Now

The Paramount, Huntington, Long Island’s premier concert venue, has been ranked as one of the top 25 clubs in the world by Pollstar Magazine – the concert industry’s leading trade journal.

From January through June 2013, Pollstar ranked The Paramount at 24th in the world on their mid-year list of Top 100 club venues. This is a particularly impressive feat seeing as The Paramount has only been operating since September 30, 2011.

“Our mission from day one at The Paramount has been to create an enjoyable concert experience that not only audiences, but artists also want to return to,” said Brian Doyle, co-owner of The Paramount and long-time concert industry veteran, in a press statement. “From the moment you walk through the doors, you are transported to another world as the energy of the room gives every concert-goer the feeling that they are in for an amazing show.”

“We are grateful to the support of our partners at Live Nation who have done a tremendous job in helping us bring first class talent to our market,” Doyle added.

Stephen Ubertini, co-owner of The Paramount , sees the venue’s meteoric rise in international rankings as evidence that they are doing something right.

“It is always a great moment to hear such world-famous artists like Rob Thomas from Matchbox Twenty say ‘this is one of the most amazing venues I have ever played,’ or Don Henley of The Eagles telling us ‘I am blown away by the energy of the room.’ This is why we work so hard to make the experience so special – for the musicians and for their fans,” Ubertini said in a press statement.

And the fans really do recognize and appreciate the effort that is put into giving them a first-rate experience. Sarah Gee, one of the venues more that 26,000 Facebook fans, posted a five-star review on The Paramount’s Facebook page saying, “If you’re looking for a night out to really enjoy and remember then this is the place for you. The staff is bubbly and friendly, the place is clean, the food is great and everyone there has the same love for music as you do. This is a must see venue.”

This fall will see some amazing talent grace the stage at The Paramount. In September, there will be shows by Hanson and Stone Temple Pilots, on Oct. 23 and 24, The Fray will be performing, and in November the venue will host popular blues-rock band ZZ Top and Grammy Award winner LeAnn Rimes. The Paramount has a seating capacity of 1,555 and hosts over 150 different performances every year including concerts, comedy shows, boxing matches, and other special community events.
