Students from North High School’s Peer AIDS Educators/Health Club recently visited North Middle and Lakeville schools to speak about the importance of making responsible choices and living a healthy lifestyle.

On Jan. 22, club members addressed eighth-grade health classes at North Middle about the signs, symptoms, and modes of transmission of HIV/AIDS. High school students discussed treatment options and healthy ways students can protect themselves.
On Jan. 29, North High students talked with fifth-graders at Lakeville about physical, mental, social and emotional health. The older students conveyed the importance of being kind to others and making responsible choices.
The club’s advisor is school psychologist Anton Berzins, and co-presidents are Brandon Davoudi, Eric Hakimi, Noah Lustbader, and Jordan Seidenberg.
The North High Peer AIDS Educators/Health Club aims to promote mental, physical, social, and spiritual health and wellness within the community. In addition to connecting with younger students, club members also visit local hospitals, organize fundraisers, and host guest speakers to help spread their message.
