The Town of North Hempstead’s NHTV has been nominated for a New York Emmy Award for its environmental feature about the Department of Environmental Conservation’s research on the fish in Manhasset Bay, Little Neck Bay and Manhasset Harbor. The feature was directed by TV studio director Alan Ginsberg. The nominations for the 62nd Annual New York Emmy Awards were announced on Feb. 20.
“It’s certainly a thrill for the Town to be nominated for an Emmy Award,” said Supervisor Bosworth. “The Town is fortunate to have the DEC keeping a close watch on the fish population of Manhasset Bay. Their research is critical to helping the Town monitor the quality of our waterways and our marine life. The ride along with the DEC gives viewers a real bird’s eye view of how the DEC does their work.”
North Hempstead TV is the Town’s award-winning government access television station, which features new and fresh content weekly and dozens of entertaining shows and public service announcements each year. NHTV’s mission is to inform the public about all the Town has to offer and to provide this information in exciting and informative ways.
