Nick Akerman to speak at Emanuel

Nick Akerman will be guest speaker at Emanuel, May 31 at 7:30 p.m.

On Friday, May 31, at 7:30 p.m., Nick Akerman, former assistant Watergate prosecutor, will be the guest in the pulpit at Temple Emanuel of Great Neck. He will offer the talk, “The Critical Issues Confronting Our Nation: Where We Are Now.”

Akerman, a nationally renowned lawyer, served as assistant special Watergate prosecutor with the Watergate Special Prosecution Force under Archibald Cox and Leon Jaworski. He is an expert on the criminal and civil applications of the Racketeer and Corrupt Organizations Statute, the Economic Espionage Act, the federal Securities Laws, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and State Trade Secret and Restrictive Covenant Laws. He also is an expert on computer crime and the protection of competitively sensitive information and computer data.

Akerman appears regularly on MSNBC concerning topical national issues, including the FBI’s ongoing investigation into alleged Russian tampering with the U.S. election, and speaks and writes regularly on protecting computer data. He has been a quoted expert on national issues in publications such as the Washington Post, Newsweek, The Hill, Politico, US News & World Report and The New York Times.
