Fourth- and fifth-grade students at Manor Oaks School in the New Hyde Park-Garden City Park School District have been creating beautiful blankets for Project Linus, an organization that provides love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort for children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need of a new, handmade blanket made with love.

Each year, New York State Assemblyman Ed Ra has contributed blankets to Manor Oak’s Project Linus Club. With Assemblyman Ra’s donations, the students will be able to donate more than 30 blankets to children this year. Principal Ken Craft and club adviser Christina Sciarrotto expressed their gratitude to Assemblyman Ra for his generosity in helping the students help others.
