I am appalled that you chose to print the letter from Norman Roland in the Oct. 25 issue, regarding Great Neck’s main library branch.
I have always been an avid user of many of the facilities and programs in our fabulous library. To even think that a community like ours should do without this invaluable asset is outrageous.
Roland should spend some time in the Main Branch and observe what goes on there on a daily basis.
He might be amazed.
He is also delusional to think that this property is only worth $1.5 million. It is priceless anyway.
Neighboring communities comparable to ours made sure their library facilities were updated to the 21st century.
We need to do the same and certainly not eliminate part of the wonderful culture and education available to us in Great Neck.
