Memo to the Deputy Mayor:
The reason shoppers don’t use the crosswalk to cross the street? Let see hmmmmm…Cars park over it nightly.
The pedestrians who don’t use that crosswalk have the decency not block the road and use the park district parking lot.
If you and your fellow board members would take the time to pass by during evening rush hours, you would know that. (You can ticket the trucks)
But you won’t deal with the real threat to public safety .
Why the village refuses to deal with constant double and triple parkers is the issue.
They block traffic.( both vehicular and pedestrian.)
They even use the no parking triangle area by the mail boxes.
And they do it with impunity. Why? Look in the mirror.
Has anyone seen a valet who holds keys?
