Herricks High School student Jeylin Lee had the distinct honor of being selected as one of eight young musicians from across the country to pay tribute to the famous violinist Midori at the 43rd annual Kennedy Center Honors.
This performance was televised nationally on June 6 on CBS. Jeylin traveled to Washington, D.C. a few weeks before the show aired for a few days of recording, filming and production. The ensemble accompanied rising star violinist, Randall Goosby, in performing “I Sing the Body Electric.”
The district congratulates Jeylin on this experience of a lifetime.
