You may register for programs at hillsidelibrary.info/events. You need to have your library barcode number for registration. The library subscribes to several museum passes for the enjoyment and entertainment of our patrons, holders of Hillside Library cards in good standing. A household is able to reserve just one museum pass per month; patrons are responsible for checking the museum’s hours of operation for the borrowed pass.
The library collects used cell phones (with their chargers) for charity. Also, the library collects reading glasses. In addition, the library collects canned food (we request cans only) for Island Harvest; the donations you supply help provide for those less fortunate, and we thank you.

Free Medicare Counseling Monday, Dec. 2, noon – 2 p.m. The Nassau County Health Insurance Information Counseling and Assistance Program will offer Free Medicare Counseling at Hillside Library on the above dates; online appointment registration is open.

Discussion on Nutrition, Lifestyle, and Cancer Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 10:30 a.m. Join Dr. Marc Braunstein, and Registered Dietician Gina DeLuca from NYU Winthrop Hospital Oncology, as they present an overview of interventions for healthy living, with a focus on the care of people living with cancer.
