A Great Neck man has been charged with two counts of burglary in the third degree in connection with a break-in at a hotel management office according to Nassau Couty Police Department officials.

On Thursday morning, officials announced the arrest of Miguel Condori, 37, of 97 Middle Neck Road.  According to detectives, law enforcement responded to an alarm at M&R Hotel Management at 49 Water Mill Lane on Wednesday night.

Upon arrival, officials said, police observed a shattered glass window in the front of the building and searched the building.

During a search of the offices, officials said, they found Condori hiding with a deep laceration on his left hand. Officials said Condori was placed under arrest without further incident at 11:59 p.m.  He was then transported to a local hospital for further treatment, according to officials.

Upon further investigation, police said, Condori was found to be responsible for another burglary that occurred on Tuesday night. Officials said Condori was responsible for a burglary at the Bagelman store located at 491 Great Neck Road.

Condori allegedly left the Bagelman with an undetermined amount of money, according to officials.  Police said Condori was arraigned on Thursday at the First District Court in Hempstead.

Efforts to reach representatives from M&R Hotel Management and Bagelman for comment were unavailing.

The arrest occurred on the same night Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder and several other law enforcement officials conducted a safety forum for Great Neck residents at the Saddle Rock School.

Ryder and other officials spoke to more than 20 members of the Great Neck community on ways to remain safe in the midst of several residential burglaries that have occurred throughout the North Shore over the past three months.

“It is imperative to keep lights in your home on, have neighbors look out for each other, and be mindful of the people that could be out there,” Ryder told the crowd Wednesday night. “Always be alert and prepare for the worst.”
