A Great Neck attorney was sentenced Tuesday to four to 12 years in prison for stealing almost $800,000 from her clients, Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown announced.

Martha Brosius, 52, an elder law attorney with offices in Great Neck and Manhattan, signed a confession of judgment for $797,000 prior to her sentencing by acting state Supreme Court Justice Helene F. Gugerty, Brown said in a statement.

Brosius pleaded guilty on June 22 to two counts of second-degree grand larceny and one count of scheme to defraud.

Brown said Brosius’ guilty plea was an admission of stealing more than $797,000 from various clients including a 77-year-old man deemed incapacitated under the Mental Hygiene Law.

Marc Gann, Brosius’ lawyer, told Newsday his client was being held in Nassau County jail and will be moved to state prison soon.
