Kids will discover the science of how the human body functions. There will be brain games on hand that may test the kids’ critical thinking ability. Kids will also learn what life would be like without thumbs. Optical illusions will also be available for kids to observe as they explore each of their five senses.

Story Tots

Alongside adult companions, kids will examine shape, form, texture and color through art activities based around a story read aloud beforehand. Kids are encouraged to be creative in making their works.  Admission to the event is free to museum members and $5 for the public.

Kids Workshop: Mini Hockey Game

Local Home Depot’s will be helping kids create their own mini hockey game. Through this project, participating kids will gain hands-on skills from sanding, nailing and painting. Parents and store associates will assist the kids as they build their own game. Upon completion of the mini hockey game, each kid will receive a free certificate of completion, a workshop apron and a commemorative pin, while supplies last.

Princess Breakfast

The Mansion at Glen Cove will be hosting a breakfast buffet with some notable princesses. In addition to possibly meeting their favorite princess, kids may be entertained by activities such as singing, storytelling, getting their pictures taken and crafts. The price for the event is $39 for those 13 or older and $29 for kids between the ages of three and 12. Children two or younger get in for free.

Disney on Ice Presents Dream Big

Main characters from movies like “Coco,” “Moana” and “Frozen” will each set out on adventures during this play. Additionally, many of the Disney princesses will appear to tell stories of kindness, strength and determination in an attempt to inspire others.
