Kids can spend the day at the Science Museum of Long Island solving a mystery with detectives and forensic scientists. Kids will use hidden clues, trace evidence and fingerprints to try finding the perpetrator of the crime. Admission to this five-hour workshop is $65 per child for museum members and $75 for non-members. It is recommended kids bring their own lunch to the event.

The Broad Hollow Theatre Company will be putting on a live play of the classic Christmas story at the Bayway Arts Center. With the help of his friend Jenny, Frosty will try to save the town of Chillsville from Ethel Pierpot’s scheme of melting all the snow. Advance tickets can be purchased for $11 as close as two hours before showtime. Once that window closes, tickets will be $13.

A Christmas Carol

The Long Island Children’s Museum will be bringing Charles Dickens’ classic Christmas story to life through the art of puppetry. Actors and puppets will be interacting with each other throughout the play. Additionally, Victorian-costumed holiday revelers will be welcoming the audience as they enter the theater. Tickets are $7 for museum members, $9 for non-members and $12 for those who just wish to enter the theater.
