Elmont Memorial High School students in grades 8 to 11 showcased their mathematics research on Dec. 10.
Research topics ranged from mathematics of rainbows to Quantum Theory. Each student’s presentation was judged by a panel of mathematics teachers, with top presentations within each grade earning recognition. On Dec. 12, students were awarded trophies and medals, along with invitations to participate at the county-level Math Fair at Hofstra University in the spring.
