Readers Write: Columnist right on waiting for good things

The Island Now

My dear wife and I agree with the point of the article, “Maybe the good things do take time – because they’re worth it” by Judy Epstein.

Good thing do take time and we want to put in our time and effort because they are worth it. It is not only the results but the process that also gives us meaning and joy.

Often we do not see the meaning of the process but only focus on getting the result. Also, if we put our best efforts into every step of the process, the result will be that much better too. There is no short cut for many fine things in life.

It as well reminds us that in the Old Testament: Zephaniah 1:12, “And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The Lord will not do good, neither will he do evil.”
