A young boy was recently injured at a busy Great Neck intersection as motorists stocked up on gas prior to Hurricane Sandy, according to a Patch report.

A red Toyota Prius and a blue BMW collided head-on near the intersection of Northern Boulevard and Middle Neck Road, the site of three gas stations where drivers were lined up in preparation for the storm, reported Patch.

Three children screamed in distress as they exited the BMW and one boy was treated for neck injuries by a Lakeville-Manhasset ambulance crew.

Both cars suffered significant damage, according to the report, and emergency responders did not report any other injuries at the scene.
