Fern Bernstein, the author of “Mah Jongg Mondays,” will be the guest speaker at Temple Judea on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. This event is sponsored by WRJ Sisterhood of Temple Judea, in partnership with the Sid Jacobson JCC and the Jewish Book Council.
In this inspirational debut memoir, middle-class suburban wife and mother of three Bernstein discusses hosting weekly Mah Jongg games, which become a source of strength and support as deep-seeded friendships were formed when she learned of her husband’s cancer diagnosis.
Bernstein will take questions and sign her book following her presentation. Admission is $10 per person and books are available to purchase for $15 at the temple office.
