On Saturday, Nov. 3, Adelphi will host its second annual Women’s Leadership Conference at Adelphi University. Adelphi invites all members of the community to a leap into leadership training and professional development through multiple panels and table discussions.

The conference will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Adelphi’s Garden City campus. Alumnae Carol Ammon, M.B.A. ’79, ’10 (Hon.), retired CEO and chairman of Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc., and Donna Orender, ’07 (Hon.), former president of the Women’s National Basketball Association, will be keynote speakers.

Co-hosted by the Center for Career and Professional Development and the Office of Alumni Relations, the theme for the conference is “Develop Yourself as a Leader,” with topics such as leading with optimism and resilience, diversity in the workplace, and hitting the reset button. There will be roundtable discussions exploring financial planning, work-life balance, generational advice and more.

Last year, more than 100 alumni, friends, students, faculty, and staff participated in the half-day program which included breakout panels and a networking, roundtable luncheon that will be incorporated in this year’s conference as well.

“I’m delighted to see Adelphi support women across a variety of disciplines,” said Kim Petry ’91, last year’s keynote speaker and president and CFO of Be Balanced.
