4 Roslyn residents named MVP at Buckley

Following another successful season of soccer, tennis, and cross-country, Buckley Country Day School recently handed out its Fall Athletic Awards. It was a big day for four Roslyn residents, who were each named as the MVP of their respective team.

From left: Mircea Manu was named the Most Valuable Player for the Boys 5/6 Soccer Team; Rebecca Fabricant was named the Most Valuable Player for the 5/6 Cross-Country Team; Savina Foy was named the Most Valuable Player for the Girls 5/6 Soccer Team; and Filitsa Vasiliades was named the Most Valuable Player for the Girls 7/8 Soccer Team.

“I am so proud of all of our student-athletes,” said Buckley Athletic Director Isaac Neal. “They consistently gave 100-percent and never forgot that good sportsmanship is the most important aspect of our program.”
