Following another successful season of soccer, tennis, and cross-country, Buckley Country Day School recently handed out its Fall Athletic Awards. It was a big day for four Manhasset residents, who each took home trophies.
From left: Lauren Kyung was named the Most Improved Player for the 5/6 Tennis Team; Olivia Marrale was given the Buckley Bulldog Award for Spirit as a member of the 5/6 Girls Soccer Team; Mario Calvo was named the Most Improved Player for the Boys 7/8 Soccer Team; and Alex Nishimura was named the Most Valuable Player for the Boys 7/8 Soccer Team.
“I am so proud of all of our student-athletes,” said Buckley Athletic Director Isaac Neal. “They consistently gave 100-percent and never forgot that good sportsmanship is the most important aspect of our program.”
