Members from the Kiwanis Club of County Seat, Mineola presented a Pediatric Trauma Kit to the Williston Park Ambulance Corp. at the Williston Park Street Fair.  Accepting the kit is Chief John Perro, Jr.

The Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Kit is a child-sized ambulance equipment kit which was compiled to meet most on-scene emergency needs of children.

A typical kit contains special equipment which ambulance personnel may need to properly care for a small child.  The ingredients of these kits are child sized and geared for children from infancy to 18 years of age.

Incoming club president, Jim Heiman, Sr., said to Perro that: “As Kiwanians, we are happy to help our community and hopes that it never gets put to use.”

Kiwanis is a global philanthropic organization whose mission is: “Kiwanis helps kids around the world. Local clubs look out for our communities and the international organization takes on large-scale challenges, such as fighting disease and poverty.”
