In honor of the Winter Olympics, Floral Park-Bellerose School tailored its gym class activities to reflect some of the competitive winter sports, from Feb. 14-18.
On Feb. 15, students participated in games modeled after ice skating, curling, ski jumping and bobsledding. They pretended to skate across the gym floor on small scarves, worked in teams to push discs for the curling activity, practiced their jumping skills over a mat structure and raced on cushioned scooters to emulate bobsledding.
