North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board recently honored the participants of the third Arts Matter! Juried Art Contest and Exhibit at a reception on July 18 at Town Hall in Manhasset.
The contest called for photographs from residents and employees of the town that showcase the environment of the town.
The art will be on display until Aug. 31 in the lobby of Town Hall.
Town officials presented participants with certificates for their submissions and the town’s Arts Advisory Committee presented awards for the first, second and third place winners.
The winners are:
1. First Place: Thomas D’Emic of Glen Head “Low Tide Shore Line Trail”
2. Second Place: D.D. Prince of Great Neck “Farmer’s Market”
3. Third Place: Marvin Rostolder of Sands Point “Robbin Red Breast w-Chicks”
Town Hall is located at 220 Plandome Road in Manhasset.
