The Island Now

The months of February and March are filled with positivity. The library created displays for Black History Month, showcasing the great accomplishments of African Americans throughout history.

Biographies of presidents and our first female vice Pesident, activists, athletes, scientists and performers were available for all ages. March is Women’s History Month, and a display was created showing all the ways women and young girls were empowered to be their best in whatever path they followed.

Dr. Seuss’ birthday was celebrated with a fun book display as well as crafts and puzzles for all children to enjoy.
