On Sunday, April 19, the Wheatley Brainstormers captured the 2018 National History Bowl JV Championship for Small Schools.

The club has been attending this competition for several years and this is the first time the bowl team won a national championship.

The team was awarded the winning title based on their points per game which was determined with a tiebreaker game against McLean School of Maryland. It was a close competition, but the Wheatley Brainstormers JV team came out on top to win first place.

Team advisor Joe Crotty said, “the students worked hard and conducted themselves with integrity throughout the entire competition”.

The winning team’s members include Rahul Ajmera, Patrick Brady, Peter Cuomo, and Frederick Lin.
