Weybridge Road Elevated Tank Catwalk Structural Improvements Project

INVITATION TO BID

Sealed Bids for construction of the Weybridge Road Elevated Tank Catwalk Structural Improvements Project will be received by the Board of Directors of the Water Authority of Great Neck North (the ‘Authority’) at the Authority’s office, attention Greg Graziano, Authority Superintendent, 50 Watermill Lane, Great Neck, New York 11021. Bids will be received until 11:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on Thursday, May 24th, 2018. The Authority will publicly open all bids on the same day at 11:00 AM, EDT.

The work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials and incidentals required to install the structural improvements to the water tank catwalk, as specified in the Contract Documents.

A Pre-Bid meeting will be held at the site (13 Weybridge Road, Great Neck, NY) on Tuesday, May 15th, 2018 at 11:00 AM.

A Contract Documents CD may be obtained at CDM Smith’s Woodbury office located at 60 Crossways Park, Suite 340, Woodbury, NY 11797, phone: (516)496-8400: Nylicwj@cdmsmith.com. Hard copies of the Contract Documents will not be available for purchase.

Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified bank check drawn on a bank doing business in New York made payable to the order of Water Authority of Great Neck North in a sum equal to FIVE PERCENT OF THE BID as it bid security to assure the Bidder’s commitment to that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract and provide the required bonds and insurance documents as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders.

NOTE: NO BID BONDS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of 45 days after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner.

Wage rates for this Project are subject to the minimum wage rates as per New York State Prevailing Wage Schedule.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest.
