Veterans Day observances will be held in both Williston Park and East Williston on the morning of Nov. 11.
Veterans Day will be observed in a ceremony in front of Williston Park Village Hall on Nov. 11 at 10:30 a.m.
Members of Williston Park VFW Post 1688 and American Legion Post 144 will provide the color guard. Village of Williston Park Mayor Paul Ehrbar will be the principal speaker.
Those same veterans will participate in the East Williston Veterans Day observance at 11:30 a.m.
In Mineola, Veterans Day ceremonies are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Monday in Mineola Memorial Park, with members of Adolf Block Post 1305 and American Legion Post 349 participating in the observance. Local dignitaries, including Village of Mineola Mayor Scott Strauss and state Sen. Jack Martins are expected to attend.
The Veterans Day observance at Albertson VFW Post 5253 will start on Monday morning at 10 a.m. in front of the Post, which is located at 155 Searingtown Road.
