Floral Park Memorial High School has named Jacob Sinanan and Jacqueline Kelly as the valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, of the Class of 2021.
Sinanan’s success in his classes has earned him an impressive GPA of 102.84, as well as an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors designation. He has earned final grades above 94 in all of his classes and reached mastery level on each Regents exam he has taken. Sinanan, who began taking advanced courses in eighth grade, has been enrolled in 12 Advanced Placement courses and 13 advanced courses.
Due to his high scores on the Preliminary SAT, Sinanan has been named a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist. Throughout his time at Floral Park Memorial, he has dedicated himself to both his studies and extracurricular activities.
He has served as a member of the Mathletes Club, Computer Programming Club, as well as secretary of the Chess Club. His respectful and kind demeanor, unparalleled work ethic, and passion for learning are just a few of his many amazing attributes that will undoubtably allow him to succeed in all his future endeavors.
With a GPA of 102.32, Kelly has tackled a rigorous schedule by enrolling in 12 Advanced Placement courses. During her time at Floral Park Memorial, Kelly has distinguished herself in both academic and extracurricular pursuits. She has served as vice president of the Class of 2021, as well as vice president of Model UN. Additionally, she is a member of the Science Olympiad Team and the Students Against Destructive Decisions Club.
Kelly has been a committed Girl Scout for 11 years, earning both Bronze and Silver Awards. She is currently working on her Gold Award Project. She is also a seasoned athlete, dedicating her time to the varsity girls soccer team and the varsity winter/spring track team. Kelly’s proactive nature has brought her great success in all of her endeavors.
