“Fall”ing into October, here’s some of what’s happening at the Floral Park Library.
Children’s Early Literacy programs include: Baby Start on the Library Lawn; Family Pre-School Hour, Play Hooray Kids, STEM Free Play Time; Mommy and Me with Chefs of d’Future and a Chefs of d’Future general program for children; weekly Tiny Tots Storytime and Pre-School Storytime; p[ART]y Art craft.
On tap for Teens: Halloween “Crafty’ Kits to Go, Stained Glass Suncatchers, Zombie Workshop and Grab n’Go Scarecrow Cookies; College Prep for High School Students and their Parents.
For the Adults, weekly Chair Yoga via ZOOM; the Monday Movie Matinee (The Invisible Man); weekly ELL Classes; three Tech for Seniors with the gifted Teens Teach Tech team; Pumpkin Bread Pudding with the Baking Coach; always popular Mah Jongg; Paint Like the Greats (Van Gogh) with Artist/Maker Danielle Barbaro; and Leathercraft Jewelry Making with Floral Park’s own Cathy Buckley of Cat’s Meow.
The Made with Love Knitting and Crocheting group meets weekly Mondays at 6:30 pm and Wednesdays at 11:30 am.
Finally, there’s the Spooky Halloween Trivia Challenge for families. It runs from October 1st thru the 30th.
