Long Island presents this classic fairy tale in ballet form. This performance is a great way to introduce families to classical ballet and music. Snow White is the story of a young princess that met a charming prince. As they sang a song of love together, Snow White’s evil stepmother, the Queen, watched them. The Queen was so jealous of Snow White’s beauty that she ordered her Huntsman to kill the young princess. But the Huntsman couldn’t bring himself to hurt Snow White. What ensues is a magical story of love and friendship. Online registration required.

This opera is about a beautiful love affair between poet, Rodolfo and seamstress, Mimi during Christmas in Paris. Join Tanisha as she discusses the opera with legendary singers and performs one of Mimi’s arias with a virtual orchestra and subtitles. Online registration required.

Discussion leader Vivian Swift is the author of three volumes of illustrated travel memoirs. Elizabeth Gilbert, author of “Eat, Pray, Love,” calls Swift “… my favorite travel writer… her first book is on my personal top 10 books of all time list.” Swift’s writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, Christie’s Magazine, and Antiques Magazine. Her journalism in Long Island Woman Magazine was awarded for outstanding feature writing in 2016.
