Learn a Language with Transparent Language & Pronunciator

Friday, Jan. 25 at 1 p.m. Online or in-person registration required.  Class will meet on the main floor of the library. Learn any language using Bryant Library’s online database,Transparent Languages. In this class, you will be walked through setting up an account and start learning vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar and culture of the language of your choice. Wouldn’t you like to get to a point where you are running the show of what your brain thinks about? Join Catherine Russo Epstein, mindfulness mentor, author and speaker for this inspirational workshop. Epstein is dedicated to helping people kick frustration and resignation to the curb to create an epic tale of a life without regrets. 

A Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: Inspirational Talk by Pastor Victor Lewis

Monday, Jan. 28 at 6:30 p.m. Friendship Baptist Church Pastor Victor Lewis returns to the Bryant Library for their annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration. Lewis will speak about the accomplishments of King, the values that he preached and the important message he has left for us that is still relevant today. This yearly event is sponsored by the Bryant Library and Roslyn Public Schools. 

Coding For Beginners: Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 3:30 p.m.

Online registration required. Sign up for an exciting series of workshops that will teach adults how to program interactive stories and games. All participants will need to bring their own iPad or Android Tablet. Please download the free ScratchJr. Application before the first session.
