North Hempstead recently hosted a senior scam seminar in conjunction with Nassau County and the Nassau County Police Department. The free seminar, which was held on May 6 at Clinton G. Martin Park in New Hyde Park, was presented by Nassau County police officers Thomas Brown, Yolanda Turner and Jesse Cooper. The seminar illustrated different scams that target seniors, including phone scams, mail scams and home improvement scams. Council members Lee Seeman and Peter Zuckerman were in attendance.
