Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the North Hempstead Town Board have announced a series of free summer concerts to held Monday nights at 7:30 p.m. at Mary Jane Davies Green Park in Manhasset.

Getting it all started on July 7 will be “Manhattan Jazz.” Enjoy some smooth, soothing jazz tunes featuring vocalist Phil Amarante who will be playing music by The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Cole Porter, and more.

On July 14, “Something Special Big Band” will play the popular sounds of the big band era accompanied by a blues singer. The highly talented band features professional musicians that have performed with great swing bands.

On July 21, the Tracy De Lucia Band will be playing some of today’s country hits as well as their own original songs.

The “Hip Pickles” bring some fun to the park on July 28. This multi-dimensional drum band features a blend of singing, drumming, hip choreography and audience participation.

Closing out the summer series on Aug. 4 will be “The In-Crowd”; a high-energy band featuring music from the 60s and 70s. Their groovy sounds are perfect for a fun summer night.
