North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth joined with the organization Muslims for Progress on June 15 at Town Hall. Muslims for Progress is a community of individuals dedicated to spreading awareness and understanding of the Eid holiday within Long Island school districts. Bosworth presented the group with a proclamation of special recognition for their commitment to educating the public.
Eid is a religious holiday that marks the end of the Ramadan, a month of prayer, reflection and fasting. The holidays are celebrated throughout the world.
