New Hyde Park Memorial High School photographic arts student Katie Fitzgerald won top prize in Zo Magazine’s Teen Media Expo and is being awarded a $300 cash prize and $300 to be donated to a charity of her choice. Katie selected the Leah Foundation, which raises awareness and spurs affirmative action on issues affecting the survival and development of women and children.
Students Emma Fabilli and Laura Los were also honored as part of the nationwide competition, earning cash prizes for their entries winning second place.
