The popular All Kids Fair returns to L.I. in April

The 9th annual All Kids Fair will take place on Sunday, April 7 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Hilton Long Island in Huntington.

This year promises to be its biggest event yet, with expanded space to accommodate the huge turnout. In addition to the Grand Ballroom and Gateway areas, the main level of the Savoy Room will be used as well, expanding the event to “25,000 square feet of fun,” according to Barbara Kaplan, director of the expo.

Every year, the children’s expo has much to offer Long Island families, including more than 80 vendors and kid-centered classes, such as music, cooking, art, dance, sports, book readings and yoga.

Attendee Paola Jarvis of Islip Terrace summed up her experience, saying, “We had a blast at (the) event.  We’ve been going for the past several years, and it gets better and better.”

There will be special guest visits by Miss Long Island Teen 2019, Geanna Koulouris, and International United Miss Jr. Preteen 2018-19, Adrianna Aloni.

Additional activities and attractions for children this year include a bounce house, petting zoo, candy bar and comic book room, with cosplay and various artists.

In addition, The Butterfly Experience will return this year. Children and adults will be able to watch the beautiful, multi-colored butterflies flying around in a huge tent or, for a small fee, enter the tent with a feeding stick and have the butterflies come to them.

Jennifer Keegan of Your Local Kids Source, a multi-year sponsor and exhibitor, said last April that she “had a great time at the All Kids Fair, meeting tons of Long Island parents and enjoyed all the smiling faces on all the happy kids.”

The fun-filled event will also offer educational and leisure activities to interest kids and their families, with options for toddlers through high schoolers, including kids who have special needs or who are gifted. There will be information about schools, camps, after-school activities, birthday party ideas, and college planning.

A charity drive to benefit The Book Fairies, a 501c3 that provides books to those in need, will return this year.

Sponsors for this year’s All Kids Fair to date include Long Island Parent Magazine, Your Local Kids Source, Blank Slate Media and PSEG LI.
