The holiday season gives us the opportunity to pause and reflect on the important things around us and reconnect with friends and neighbors. The Mothers’ Group of Manhasset (MGM) kicked off the season by decorating the LIRR train station for the holidays. The decorations brought holiday cheer to the commuters and holiday travelers alike. Santa’s little helpers included Jessica Martini and Tory Schumm.

MGM then held their annual breakfast with Santa on Dec. 9.   Families gathered to celebrate the season at the Strathmore Vanderbilt County Club.   Event Chairs Grace Pok led the team to create the holiday magic. Old friends reunited and many new friends were made during the fun-filled holiday brunch. The families enjoyed a delicious brunch and participated in festive crafts, dancing and games. The highlight of the children’s morning was a visit from Santa.

The festivities continued with the MGM annual cookie exchange on Dec. 11. The local moms took a break from the holiday rush and shared cookies and holiday spirit with both old friends and new friends. The event was graciously hosted by member Michelle Itri.

MGM is a member-based organization that holds a number of regular events throughout the year. All are welcome to join the MGM and participate in fun couples’, ladies’ and children events throughout the calendar school year. On behalf of the MGM, President Jaclyn Martini wishes you a joyous holiday season and a happy and peaceful New Year.
