Twilight Tour of the Vanderbilt Mansion

Friday, Dec. 28, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Vanderbilt Museum’s holiday centerpiece is the mansion of William and Rosamond Vanderbilt, decorated each year by local designers and garden clubs. The twilight tour is the only time of the year when the Vanderbilt family’s private living quarters can be seen at night, giving visitors a special holiday experience.

New Year’s Laughin’ Eve

This year’s headline comics include Paul Anthony, host of the Long Island Comedy Festival; Maria Walsh, “America’s Naughtiest Mommy”; Rich Walker of the New York City comedy scene; and Richie Byrne of Comedy Central.

5 New Year’s Gala: Roaring ‘20s at the Pratt Estate

Monday, Dec. 31 at 8 p.m.

The Mansion on Long Island’s famed Gold Coast will host a Black and White Roaring ‘20s’ Gala that will transport you back to this iconic era and includes a Hollywood premier entrance, a cocktail hour featuring period beverages and foods, a six-course dinner, and jazz music and dancing all night long.

6 Billy Joel New Year’s Eve

7 Back to the ’80s Show with Jessie’s Girl
