Long Island Fall Festival 2018

Friday, Oct. 5, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6 and Sunday, Oct. 7, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Monday, Oct. 8, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This fall festival has it all — a world-class carnival with rides, live musical performances on the Chapin Rainbow Stage, food offerings provided by Simple Caterers, park vendors, Hilltop Brewery selling craft beers, a farmer’s market, and plenty of action for little ones, including pony rides, a petting zoo, Mad Scientist projects, local youth talent, and fun art activities.

Mill Neck’s Apple Festival

Saturday, Oct. 6 and Sunday, Oct. 7, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (rain or shine)

Since 1957, the Mill Neck Apple Festival continues to bring a nostalgic gathering for the whole family that includes children’s activities, Manor House tours and, of course, lots of tasty apples.

Kids Club: Pumpkin Crafts

Saturday, Oct. 6, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Kids ages 3 and up can make a pumpkin lantern ($2) and those 6 and up can create a dimensional pumpkin ($5) at Michaels, the store where creativity happens.

Manhasset Fall Festival

Saturday, Oct. 6, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This event that is free and open to the public promises fun for the whole family — bounce houses, hay rides, outdoor laser tag, a game truck, face painting, fall crafts, pony rides and more.  Adults can enjoy music while shopping for seasonal items like pumpkins, mums, handcrafted decorations and fresh pies.

Fall Family Festival

Sunday, Oct. 7, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (rain or shine)

The day will feature a Halloween costume parade, live music with Jerome Smith City Sounds and the Como Brothers, jumbo garden games, pumpkins for sale, pony rides, face painting, watercolor demonstrations, and a Halloween bounce house. Cost: $20 per vehicle.
