The Art League welcomes the holidays with its art & craft fair

The Island Now

The Art League of Long Island’s 55th Holiday Fine Art & Craft Fair takes place this year on Saturday, Dec. 1 and Sunday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the Art League’s galleries and studios.

The fair presents an eclectic variety of one-of-a-kind art and craftwork created by 80 artists at the art center in Dix Hills.

Visitors to the fair can expect to find the perfect gift for friends and loved ones on their holiday lists, as well as meet the artists behind the paintings, sculpture, woodcraft, ceramics, mosaics, fiber art, photography, jewelry, wearable art, glass art, and other handcrafted items on display.

The fair is juried, so prizes will be awarded to participating artists and craftspeople with the most innovative designs.

Plan to spend time at the fair, enjoy the art on display, join in on a hands-on art activity with collage artist Michael Albert, and grab a bite to eat from the gourmet food truck.

Admission to the fair and art activity is free. The Art League is located at 107 East Deer Park Road in Dix Hills, just off exit 42N of the Northern State Parkway, and two miles north of exit 51 off the Long Island Expressway.
