Temple Sinai show to honor Garland

The Island Now

From the same team that brought you “Berman Does Merman,” Temple Sinai is presenting “Berman Does Garland,” a tribute to the often triumphant, but tragic life of Judy Garland.

Garland’s turbulent life and career is narrated in stunning detail and punctuated with the hit songs from her movies, concerts and television appearances.

Temple Sinai’s own Lisa Berman will sing more than 20 songs, among the most memorable will be “The Man That Got Away,”The Trolley Song,” “Zing Went The Strings Of My Heart,” and of course, “Over The Rainbow.”

Join Ruthe McKeown, Stephen Goldstein and Lisa Berman, “Doing Judy” on this extraordinary journey through the life and times of one of the 20th century’s most enduring icons.

There is no charge for adult activity members. The non-member contribution is $5. Please join us for this entertaining program!

Join us for a “lite bite” before the show. There will be an adult activity club pre-show pizza, pasta and salad dinner at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $12 for Adult Activity Club members; $18 for non-members. Reservations are a must (so that we have enough food). If you would like to attend the dinner please call the temple office at 516-621-6800 by Monday, May 20. All are welcome!
