Building on momentum from their inaugural summer event, the Great Neck Chinese Association (GNCA) and Temple Israel of Great Neck (TIGN) held a bowling event on Nov. 5 at Herrill Lanes in New Hyde Park.
The goal of the afternoon, cleverly titled “mixing bowl,” was to continue building friendships. Over 100 people of all ages attended, including a contingent of teenagers. Creative awards and trophies were given to all.
“It was a wonderful event where our two organizations can get to know each other in a fun and relaxing atmosphere. We look forward to having more gatherings and building stronger relationships within our Great Neck Community,” said Nathan Fong, co-president of the Great Neck Chinese Association.
“I had a great time and enjoyed seeing lots of intergenerational and intercultural socialization,” Rebecca Yousefzadeh Sassouni, a member of Temple Israel, added. “It was a strike!”
