The 2019 Long Island Regional Virtual Enterprise Conference and Exhibition at LIU Post on Jan. 9 was an overall success for Sewanhaka’s Doughnut Dynasty.

The senior high virtual enterprise students were able to accomplish their goals at this regional conference, including making sales with other virtual enterprise firms, building integrity with its consumers with cost-efficient prices and presenting the Doughnut Dynasty business plan.

The eighth-grade virtual enterprise students got exposure as consumers by using virtual credit cards to purchase virtual services and goods. Given 30 minutes to set up the booth, we were able to establish a system so that sales, transactions, promotion by interaction and raffling tickets were as efficient as possible. While Doughnut Dynasty had a team to work our system at the booth, other members helped promote the company by giving out business cards and wrist bands which had our slogan “All or Dough Nothing.”

At the end of the day, the company won two silver awards at the regional conference, in Sales Materials and Booth Design. To top things off, Doughnut Dynasty was able to make roughly $40,000 in sales, 40 percent of our goal of reaching $100,000 in revenue. Overall, this was possible due to the efforts and collaboration of all Doughnut Dynasty employees and the guidance of Mrs. Christine Licastri.
